2) Information we collect

You provide: name, email, phone, postal address, employer/title, communication preferences; donation details (amount, designation, tributes); event/volunteer registrations; survey responses; messages you send us. We do not store full card numbers.
Collected automatically: IP address, device/browser type, pages viewed, referring/exit pages, timestamps, approximate location; via cookies, pixels, and similar tech (see Cookies).
From third parties: donation platforms, payment processors, CRM/email tools, event systems, and public sources.

3) How we use information

  • Process donations & transactions (receipts, acknowledgments, tax statements)
  • Operate programs & events (registration, attendance, follow-up)
  • Communicate (service messages, impact updates, fundraising; opt out of marketing anytime)
  • Improve and secure the Services (analytics, troubleshooting, fraud prevention)

4) Donations & payment processing

Online payments are processed through Neon One (which uses Stripe for payment processing). These providers receive payment information directly to complete your transaction; TIS does not store complete card numbers.

5) When we share information

We do not sell personal information. We may share with:
Service providers (e.g., Neon One/Stripe, CRM, email, analytics, hosting, print/mail); affiliates/partners (to operate joint programs or honor donor intent); professional advisors/authorities (legal, accounting, compliance); successors in case of restructuring. Providers are contractually required to protect your data and use it only to provide services to us.

6) International transfers

Data may be processed in the U.S., Israel, and other countries. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (e.g., Standard Contractual Clauses).

7) Data retention

We retain donor/transaction records typically seven (7) years after the last transaction or as required by law. Marketing preferences are honored until you opt out.

8) Your choices & rights

California & U.S. state privacy: request access, deletion, correction, and info about our practices. TIS does not sell or “share” donor personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
EU/UK/EEA/Swiss: exercise GDPR/UK GDPR rights via info@thankisraelisoldiers.org; you may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

9) Children

Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or under local age of consent). If you believe a child provided data, contact us to remove it.

10) Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of data (encryption in transit, least-privilege access, etc.). No system is 100% secure.

Third-party sites and platforms are governed by their own policies.
